First things first: multiple orgasms aren’t just for women – men can have them too. All it takes is a bit of practice. In fact, if men get acquainted with their Jen-Mo point, or train their PC muscles, multiple orgasms are easily within reach. We’ve put together everything you need to know here, including the best exercises, so our male readers can enjoy multiple orgasms too.

Blame it on the hormones

Let’s start with some important background information about the male orgasm: after ejaculating, the male body needs at least 20 minutes to recover, and for the penis to be ready to go again. The older the man, the longer he takes to regroup. It is generally thought that this need for a break is due to the interaction of different hormones. On the one hand, after ejaculation there is a drop in adrenaline and noradrenaline hormones, which causes you to feel tired. On the other hand, the hormone prolactin is released, which prevents you from getting aroused again.

Prolactin is actually also released in women after an orgasm too, however their levels of adrenaline and noradrenaline quickly rise again. This might explain how women can orgasm several times without needing a long break. So, it’s perfectly clear what men need to do: just don’t ejaculate!

Risk of confusion

At this point, some of you might be confused: ejaculation is how men orgasm. Well actually… no, not necessarily. It’s important to remember: an orgasm is not the same thing as ejaculation. The muscle contractions that lead to ejaculation and the nerve impulses that trigger an ecstatic high generally happen at the same time or in very quick succession. Which is why many men believe that ejaculation and orgasms happen together.

The hormone prolactin is only released after ejaculation, so you need to have an orgasm without ejaculating. It’s important to know that an orgasm without ejaculating can be just as intense as one with ejaculation. Men should also bear in mind that with multiple orgasms, not every orgasm is as pronounced, and they can vary in intensity. So, how can you avoid ejaculating when having an orgasm?

The Jen-Mo point

One option is injaculation. This is where the ejaculate stays in the body and is not released. To do this, you need to find what is known as the Jen-Mo point, known in Taoist teaching as the orgasm point, between a man’s testicles and anus. If a man’s partner notices he is about to orgasm, he/she should simply use light pressure to stimulate the point. If they’ve got the right place, the urethra is compressed and the sperm stays in the body. Ideally, it returns to the prostate and the man can experience multiple orgasms one after another.

Don't forget the Jen-Mo point.

However, there is a big disadvantage to this technique: if the wrong point is stimulated, or too much pressure is used, the sperm can be diverted into the bladder. Normally, the sperm are then flushed out during the next trip to the toilet. However, if the sperm are diverted too often, this can cause health problems.

This practice requires some care, and if you are unsure, it’s best to talk to your doctor about it. If you’d rather use safer methods for multiple orgasms, we’ve got a couple of tips for you here.

All down to training

A safer method of enjoying multiple orgasms is stretching the musculus pubococcygeus, also known as the PC muscle or perineal muscles. You use this muscle to try to stop the flow of urine. Regular training of this muscle can lead to harder erections, while also increasing stamina and even preventing incontinence in old age.

If you want to train the muscle, simply clench your PC muscles repeatedly for several seconds several times a day. You can do this while you go to the toilet, but please don’t just do it while urinating. With enough training, you can clench the muscle just before orgasm, preventing ejaculation.

Anal orgasm – Think about your backside!

Anal sex offers another opportunity for men to enjoy multiple orgasms. An anal orgasm feels like a “normal” orgasm, but is focused in the leg or pelvic muscles. It is triggered by stimulating the anus, the prostate or the clitoris in women. By stimulating the prostate and penis together, you can set off two different orgasms at the same time – at the front and rear. Find out more about reaching multiple anal orgasms here. As with any type of anal sex, it’s important not to forget the personal lubricant, so you don’t hurt yourself and sex is still exciting.

As ever when the spirit of adventure is in the air, remember: don’t put yourself under any pressure! And men: not every woman has an orgasm every time they have sex, never mind multiple orgasms. So, enjoy the moment and don’t worry too much about the type, intensity, or even number of orgasms!
